On Mother's Day (2020), my wife and I took a drive along the Thousand Springs Scenic Byway in Southern Idaho. This byway offers breathtaking views of the Snake River and its canyon walls.
As we were driving, we passed the sign that pointed the direction to Niagara Springs State Park. Having never heard of it, my wife pulled it up on Google and one look at the pictures and we knew we needed to check it out.
We found a place to turn around and headed to the park. We dropped down the canyon wall on a steep, dirt road. It didn't take long to make our way into the park, which was huge!
The park sits along the Snake River and is named after the first set of springs you encounter in the park, Niagara Springs. A short trip down the dirt road and you encounter the second set of springs, Crystal Springs.
Because it was starting to get late, we only had a short time to explore. And there's no doubt, I'll be back to do just that!
